Have been hosting the Raspberry Pi meet-up for last several months on Thursdays, but will rename it to something more general to cover other microcontrollers.

At the last meeting used Flask with Flask-Socket.io to control a device through GPIO with a very small amount of code.

Recently got a Nook e-reader and was able to root it easily.

  • Daniel D.

Mentions a program named Jasper for the Raspberry Pi that recognizes voice to control GPIO pins or run other programs.

Starting a weekly project section on the web site to highlight any projects. Simply send the project ideas to the group mailing list.

  • Peter R.

Has SuperCollider running on Raspberry Pi, which is not available from the Raspian repositories. Had to compile from source including dependencies. Can now use OSC to control the Pi over the network.
