There will have to be a new treasurer and president this time around. Scott H stated that members can be appointed to do task. Sarah and Shaw agree to "midwife" the move and transition.

Annual report out next month.

Wants to limit communication confusion with the election and the move coming so close together. Shaw agrees to stay involved thru transition and move.

Next month will be using Stripe instead of WePay.

Elections: We need a Treasurer. According to bylaws, I'm on the last term I can serve on the board. I intend to stick around and help in any way possible, including making the treasurer job a lot smoother than it was for me. Please let me know if this job interests you, I'm happy to tell you the pros and cons and find a way to make it better.

Properties- 85 Westport property. $1 sq.ft/year. Retail/garage multi-use space. Looking for 3 year lease. Avail now.

Other properties were taken, not fit for light industrial, or too far afield. Looking into other options if UDI AND Scrap fall thru as options. (unlikely)

Public Relations

Not present

Elizabeth L asked if potential Durham County Board members could come and speak to Splat Members one Tuesday (Not the business meeting) Might be of interest to members and DCB candidates can get to see what a maker space is. General agreement is that this would be good.

Phil R willing to serve longer on the board. Encourages members to participate in activities and spearhead groups. Endorses classes every Tuesday. "Train people to train others" . A schedule of classes will make it easier for people to participate rather than have them approach one another individually.

New Business

Old Business

Scrap Exchange News- they are waiting to move the retail store and getting an occupancy permit. Projected time for them is October. Sarah has emailed Ann and is waiting for a reply on timing and alternate plans. May do a temporary move to strip mall properties.

UDI is not responding to Sarah or Shaws calls have not been returned nor have email. Worked with Ken Griffith Associates for 2 years. No news on staying past our lease or moving. Chances are good we will be able to extend lease.

Mark- How long did it take to physically move last time? Shaw- One day. There is currently 2500 sq feet avail at Scrap properties available for intermediate move. (Not the final move just an intermediate)
