Brian Lord will run for president.
Proud to serve as President and has enjoyed serving last several years.
MakerFaire and other Events. Has not done as much educational outreach this year. Planning on increasing those this coming year.
Membership has increased a good deal in the last few months with a high of 65.
Not able to get a lease in hand for the next 6 months. Should be forthcoming.
Will be helping the next board and to acclimate. Sarah will also help with the new treasurer. Brian has been very helpful in the operations.

Considering for half the month that this was the first time we implemented Stripe use, we did well. If we had not had our insurance payment, we would have been in the black by about $300 if our average monthly expenses total $1660 without other supply purchases.

Shaw- No news on move to Scrap Exchange. Scrap needs Splat to have their lease extension that will take us to the end of May.
Peter R- May need 7 or 8 months to finish. Scrap is a month or so behind. November they will be moving to strip mall. We would need to move in without support. Scrap is still thinking December.
Phil Rhodes- How to get out of the parking exit for pedestrians. Shaw- will deal with this after our new lease comes in. Phil- Please get this fixed. I had to crawl under fence to get out of parking lot. Please fix this.
Shannon- Anyone who has
Sarah S- Got cool visitors from Cos Play America Oct 20 - 22. Be at the table and show off our place. Have 5-6 volunteers. Would like more. More info is coming.
John V- Loan stuff to table to show what you can do here at Splat.
Sarah S- Will still be going to events and blogging.
John V- A friend and I made Medieval flack jackets (11 hour) Put in remove able plates that are smoothed to keep from cutting cloth or flesh. Remove and clean shirt. Made 3 in one day.
Raleigh Maker Faire at Wake Tech Main Campus with 500 guest in their conference room. WiFi was not good. 1/6 scale model of T Rex. Raffled for $14,000 and donated it. Scott Hall ran learn to solder table and taught dozens of people. Request for more soldering classes. A guest said thank you for soldering lessons. Concerns that this would not happen smoothly were unfounded. This Maker Faire ran well. Don't forget Burlingtons Maker Faire.
Spark Con- Small showing. Bill make us look good with raffle and his VR cars.
Phil Rhodes- Old Boom Box not regulated properly somehow and killed raspberry pi. Wants to know why this happened
Pete Soper- Need help sorting and creating kits for maker spaces needing help getting started.
Scott Hall- Don't forget the collection in the back also not sorted.
October 14 at RAD Lab Open House 11-2. Looking for people to exhibit science related demos or hands on projects.
Game Night this Friday at 7. Bring games and join in. Kids with adults, beer, and food all welcom.
Heather Dawn Cross Mike Walker- In the coming week there will be Durham Savoyards next week. October 12- 17. Operalette. A two part comedy. "Thespis" a lost Gilbert and Sullivan rewritten by member. "Trial By Jury" is the second act.
Scott Hall- Beginning Electronics group on Sunday- please come and bring projects or problems to solve. Invitation to attend coming events. Need more people in outreach so we can also use it in fundraising.
Phil R- In addition to the mailing list there is a global hacker space/ hacker emailing list. Talking about hacker spaces and hacking all over the world.
Shaw will take out trash.
