BAND SAW SAFETY RULES AND GUIDELINES
- You MUST wear eye protection!
- Only persons on the “check-off” list may use this equipment without supervision.
- Do NOT wear gloves, scarves, jewelry, etc. Tie back long hair.
- This band saw is intended for the cutting of wood; plastics; and with a metal cutting blade, soft metals: brass and aluminum.
- Observers should not stand to the right of this machine; broken blades will tend to fly to the right.
- Make sure all guards are in place before turning on the band saw. WITH THE SAW UNPLUGGED, check the blade tension and then plug in and run the saw briefly to ensure the blade is tracking properly.
