Two ball-halves showing the holes filled with one layer of silicone caulk. The next layer will come to the top and will have LEDs potted into it as a test. If we pick this size of ball, I can pull out this caulk and re-do it with our actual indicator RGB LEDs.

Qs: will this caulk be sufficiently translucent when cured? Will it adhere sufficiently to the ball's rubber to survive tossing around? I can sand/rout the inner edge of the hole if necessary.
