A few of the Software Sunday folks have been talking about building a Beowulf cluster for doing parallel processing.
If / when this gets built, it could be used as an educational resource, for teaching MPI programming and HPC concepts, as well as being useful for building cool technology demos to promote the space. And, of course, it will be available for members to experiment and do research on.
