Lance, aerospace engineering and industrial design - interested in building things and arduino. Phillip, architecture.. just finished up at Auburn and will go to grad school at MIT in the fall. Wants to develop a CNC router over the summer.
No consent agenda items.
Alan will add stuff here later. He promises. I don't believe him.
VP: Message from Justis: He was in Baltimore and went to the hackerspace there and it was super cool.
Treasurer: Another good month. People paid their dues on time. If you click autopay it will retroactively pay your old dues. Nothing heard re: non-profit status. Mauricio will arrange for delivery of cabinet CRT.
PR: Alan has been retweeting and other people have been blogging. There was a scare about the website's being hacked, but he couldn't find anything. If you see anything weird, email browser info and screenshot, if possible.
No new or old business.
Drew: MakerFaire is on June 16th. Everyone should be there. Found canned peanut and butter and jelly sandwiches, which we can share. We can't sell our kits because we would be competing with MakerShed.
Jeff: Plans to be at MakerFaire but doesn't want to be the leader of the Splat Space effort. Michael Greer or Leatherbound Bookworks will be there. He is Jeff's neighbor. Scott's remote member report: He picked up some work in Charlotte and will be there a while. This weekend he will come in to finish his tool business. Jeff says it should be addressed on the list. Scott was under the impression that he could do kits at Makerfaire. We have not made back the initial $250. He wants to order more, but that needs to be addressed on the list. Pete bought a digitally controlled solder station. Jeff wants to remove the wooden shelves in the back. Pete is looking for Ed so we can give back his stuff. Darren: Winnitron cabinet update. Darren would like to take it to Makerfaire. Darren will have the software in the next couple of days. Fullsteam is willing to host it. Geoff will set up a coordinating meeting for Makerfaire. Cory finally got keyboard injection working. Pete: Raspberry Pi. He has one! Has a firefox and thunderbird knockoff working. It's a completely usable operating system. Peter: More of a bread than a beer person, but he has a group that is working on yeast. Beer that glows in the dark. Sundays 6 to 9.
